Peru State College in Peru, NE, invites applications for the position of Athletic Director. The Athletic Director (AD) will lead and inspire the development of a character-driven, competitive, and student-oriented athletic program. The AD will share responsibility for student-athlete success and supervise and administer all aspects of the athletic program in accordance with the College’s mission, vision and strategic plan. Peru State College has eight varsity athletic programs and is a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference, one of the premier conferences in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Be an advocate for the College’s student-centered mission, focused on academic excellence, graduation and engaging student athletes in the Peru State College experience.
Build competitive athletic programs.
Recruit and mentor outstanding coaches and staff.
Lead fundraising efforts for athletic programs and facilities in collaboration with the Peru State College Foundation.
Be an open and transparent leader who invests in building relationships and collaborating with the entire campus community, the community of Peru, southeast Nebraska and Peru State College alumni.
Develop opportunities and support for students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
The Athletic Director position requires:
A master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
A track record of progressive responsibility in college athletic administration (5 or more years strongly preferred)
Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, long-range planning, management and administration.
Previous supervisory experience including evaluation and development of personnel.
Proven track record of building and maintaining partnerships with faculty, academic support programs, residence life, and student affairs.
Experience fundraising (preferred) and building external relationships (required).
