Work with area stakeholders to promote Tuscaloosa.
Identify and recruit sporting events to bring visitors to Tuscaloosa and create economic impact for the area.
Prepare and present bids to organizations who control events.
Organize, plan, present, and perform all logistical aspects in executing hosted events.
Evaluate and report on all aspects of events including economic impact.
Represent TTSC at sports related trade shows and develop relationships with potential clients.
Develop and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national corporate partners.
Develop and maintain annual operating budget for the sports sales of the organization.
Cultivate extensive group of volunteers to help with events.
Other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent directly related work experience (3 years minimum preferred).
Knowledge of youth and amateur sports.
Experience in fundraising and/or sponsorship in a non-profit environment.
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal.
Must have computer and technology skills.
Willing and able to travel and work weekends when necessary.
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama. All employees of TTS must be permanent residents of Tuscaloosa County.
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 annual base, plus benefits (health and dental, 401k)
