The Assistant Athletics Coach assists the Head Women's Softball Coach in the recruitment and training, and guidance of student athletes. Participates in the planning and implementation of team and individual strategies and tactics in the execution of game preparation methods and techniques. Assists the Head Coach with recruiting, arranging travel, managing budgets, coaching, instructing, strength training and conditioning and tracking equipment. Follows all federal, divisional, and University athletics regulation, to include rules and regulations established by the Sun Belt Conference and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).
Bachelor's Degree; two or more years of collegiate coaching and/or playing experience; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Application software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Experience recruiting and/or evaluating athletes; directing and/or assisting with instruction and set up for camp/clinics; hitting experience and Dartfish software experience is preferred
