The head men’s and women’s tennis coach will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the men’s & women’s tennis programs including, but not limited to the following duties: on-court coaching, planning, organizing, recruiting and conducting all practice sessions in the traditional and non-traditional segments of the playing season; cooperating with the athletic administration, fellow coaches, and student-athletes to promote the best interest of the team; working closely with Director of Athletic Communications to report scores, statistics and honors in a timely manner; scheduling all practices and games; coordinating team travel; educating team members on all relevant institutional and NCAA regulations and guidelines pertaining to recruiting, eligibility, financial aid and playing and practice seasons which could affect their status as team members; advising and counseling of all team members on their academic responsibilities; working with the Equipment and Facilities Manager regarding all matters pertaining to team uniforms and equipment; working with the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator in regards to training programs within NCAA guidelines; recruiting, recommending for hire, training, and supervising part-time assistant coaches; working with the athletic administration to develop and stay within an annual budget; participating in Admissions Open Houses, Accepted Students Day and other general student-athlete recruitment efforts; coordinating a spring break trip; other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics. This job requires flexible job hours including nontraditional hours, weekends, and travel to and from away games. Must have a valid driver’s license.
