Kenyon College, a highly selective national liberal arts institution, is currently seeking applications for 2 full-time positions of Assistant Athletic Trainer. Kenyon College is a Division III member of the NCAA and is a founding member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. Kenyon offers twenty-two varsity sports, eleven for men and eleven for women. In the spring of 2006 the new Kenyon Athletic Center opened. This facility includes an extensive area for Athletic Training, which includes a separate office for the Assistants, examination room, large taping, treatment and rehabilitation area and hydrotherapy room. Over one fourth of the students at Kenyon participate in Varsity athletics and the college is committed to encompassing excellence in academics and athletics.
The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting the Head Athletic Trainer with all phases of the daily operations in the Athletic Training Room and services needed to cover the 22 Varsity Athletic teams. These duties include, but are not limited to evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, injury prevention, providing medical coverage for home events as well as travel with teams to away events, proper record keeping, and other tasks as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer as needed. The successful candidates will join a staff of 3 other full-time Athletic Trainers (Head Athletic Trainer and 2 Assistant Athletic Trainers). The Assistant Athletic Trainer will also work with the on-site PT, AT, Team Physician, and the College’s Nurse Practitioner and Health Center.
Both of the positions are a ten-month position with full benefits. Travel with assigned teams is required. Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications are bachelor’s degree, master’s degree strongly preferred, NATA-BOC certification and Ohio licensure eligibility is required.
