Plan, coordinate and direct all aspects of athletic department special events to include annual Wine & Dine in the Pines, Golf Tournaments, Coaches’ Caravans, Hall of Fame, Homecoming, Reunions, Tip-Off Luncheon, receptions and other events as directed; Manage Lumberjack Athletic Association volunteer & student event support; Develop new ideas for events to increase revenue and fan, community and alumni engagement; Manage and direct all essential Varsity Club responsibilities and activities; Prepare Varsity Club communications through direct mail, mass e-mails, website and social networking sites; Assist with regional chapter development; Facilitate the management of the Varsity Club database; Incorporate recent student-athlete graduates into the database annually; Continually research for missing contact information of former Varsity Club members; Assist with coordination of annual Varsity Club letterwinner awards; Assist with cultivation and stewardship of Lumberjack Athletic Association membership; Ensure compliance with all NCAA, Big Sky, and departmental rules; Provide superior customer service and be a positive representative of NAU and NAU Athletics;. This position reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of External Relations & Development; Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Two years of full-time professional experience in fundraising and/or special events
Three years professional experience in fundraising and/or special event in a college/university setting.
Knowledge and experience in college/university athletics department.
Experience in customer service, operations and event planning.
Knowledge of NCAA rules as they apply to collegiate athletic program.
