Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine - Athletic Training
4 Year Degree
Primary Purpose Assist in the planning, coordination, operation and evaluation of athletic training operations for the intercollegiate athletics program.
Essential Functions 1. Supervises athletic training students. 2. Aids in administration of athletic training program policies and procedures. 3. Administers daily treatment, rehabilitation, and preventative measures for student-athletes. 4. Attends team practices and competitions. 5. Supervises illness/injury referral program with Director of Athletic Training, physician and Director of Athletic Performance. 6. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
• Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training or related field. • NATABOC certification. • CPR, AED and First Aid certification.
• Master’s Degree and previous collegiate experience. • Working knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University of the Pacific rules and regulations. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in team environment. • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work successfully with all levels of the organization and diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.

Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, walking across campus, climbing stairs, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment/Work Week/Travel Work is performed primarily in standard office environment during standard business hours. Work will also be required during non-regular office hours to fulfill business needs.
Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.
