This position is a vital position within the women’s basketball staff. Media production is a critical aspect of recruiting, and recruiting is the lifeblood of the program. This position will help increase the visibility of the program and help streamline recruiting functions. It will manage all functions related to the recruiting efforts of the Women’s Basketball team, and will also manage scout footage. This position will be very involved in tracking recruiting progress through the database as well as assist with the development of communication, organization of on-campus and off-campus recruiting visits, assistance with preparation of practice and game materials as well as provide assistance to the coaches and staff as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Create, edit and post social media content. 2. Assist with scouting footage management to include film exchange, distribution to coaches, and film breakdown. 3. Assist with recruiting operations, to include mail-out creation and distribution, database maintenance. 4. Act as team photographer/videographer at team outings, practices, games and community service. 5. Contribute ideas and production work for program videos, to include recruiting presentations, marketing pieces and highlight films. 6. Assist in management of equipment for practices and games. 7. Obtain and edit film footage to build teaching tools library for players. 8. Help with day-to-day office operations when necessary. 9. Game day responsibilities as assigned. 10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
At least 2-3 years of experience in Division I athletics so the individual has a strong sense of the expectations of the student-athletes and staff in terms of community service, external relations and especially academic standards. Must have strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as well to ensure that there are no compliance issues with recruiting, external relations and community service. Knowledge of SportsTec video system, Recruiting Database, Social Media outlets, NCAA Manual – policies and procedures Must be willing and able to work evening and weekend hours. Must also be willing and able to travel with team as required.
