The ideal candidate is a passionate, self-starter who is highly motivated and driven to achieve results. An individual who has a proven track record in the college golf recruitment arena with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an assistant or a head coach in a women’s or men’s program. Someone with in-depth knowledge of NCAA rules and a strong network of college coach relationships is an ideal candidate. A person who is highly organized and structured, with excellent time management and attention to detail. They should have strong people skills, be an excellent communicator and know how to build rapport and trust with people. They must be completely trustworthy in the quality, timeliness, and implementation of work. Experience playing college golf is an added advantage. Competent in English is a requirement.
1.Position Summary: To provide leadership in all facets of the college product design including staff development, program development, training, education, monitoring and reporting. The Director is responsible for a standard of excellence of the college product in each of our client academies, and provides support and training to the college placement administrators. Throughout the year the Director is required to provide expertise and education for business development purposes and to add value in the marketing through the IJSA college product.
2.Duties include but are not limited to: •Establish a robust college placement program that is a core academy product and integrated into the academy experience. •Develop an annual curriculum for education that includes milestones and key “dates and gates”. •Provide professional development for the academy administrators, including training and performance management. •Report to the IJSA Management Group and the product CEO’s monthly on the progress of the College Planning and Placement Department with clear KPI’s and data tracking. •Utilize college technology tools to manage and track data. •Lead efforts to foster supportive, diverse and inclusive college placement activities and events. •Adopt a “train the trainer” model and provide education and training to all departments on the college planning processes. •Be an expert on NCAA compliance and rules. •Work closely with the Business Development team to use College Planning and Placement as a tool for recruitment and market exposure. •Oversee daily operation of the department and liaise closely with all academy staff and the education and academic support staff so academic planning and testing deadlines are met and students are progressing accordingly. •Provide guidelines to the academy administrators to ensure consistent tracking and reporting on KPI’s. •Assist with new employee searches, make hiring recommendations and oversee employee training. •Work with professional staff members to develop an annual assessment process that reviews the effectiveness of services for student testing and academic preparedness. •Attend high profile junior golf events to maintain strong relationships with college coaches. •Develop and maintain the database on colleges in all Divisions that is used by the academies as a resource for recruitment.
3.Professional expectations Follow the Processes and Procedures as outlined in the IJSA PPM, with the key behaviors being: •Professional communication, verbal and written •Timely reporting, trip approvals, expense reports •Timely responses to emails and phone calls (within 24 business hours) •Accurate and timely reporting •Good time management and the ability to prioritize workload •Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of our clients •A team player who is supportive of the IJSA ethos and strategy •Fiscally responsible with the budget

You will be expected to travel to different regions both domestic and international, to conduct college seminars and provide college placement education for business development of IJSA and our client academies.
