Social Media Assistant is responsible for engaging season ticket holders, students, donors and alumni through creative uses of the social media, digital advertising, fan communication and web based promotions. Additional job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develops strategies, tracks and maintains Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and other social media presences for GW Athletics to support marketing efforts, increase game attendance and revenue, grow audiences and increase fan engagement
Daily monitoring of select social media accounts (includes reporting of any concerns or complaints)
Consistent Posting on social media platforms
Daily posts on @GWGeorge Twitter
Daily posts on Facebook.com/GWsports
Daily posts on @GW_George Instagram, Snapchat
Weekly tracking and reporting on top GW athletics social media accounts
Monthly analysis of tracking on top GW social media accounts
Monitor new developments in social media and identify new opportunities to engage with fans, alumni and students via those channels
2. Develops web-based attendance promotions and rewards program that includes partnering with the Director of Ticket Sales and Revenue to establish new initiatives that generate increased online ticket sales

Identify ways to incorporate social media into key games and events
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing or Communications. Requires a minimum of three years of experience in a sports marketing office, preferably in a Division I collegiate athletics program. Preference will be given to candidates familiar with Final Cut, InDesign and Photoshop. Exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
