The Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach-Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Athletic Director.
The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to provide opportunity to young people and develop leaders through a tradition of academic and athletic achievement in a progressive, inclusive environment of mutual respect.
This position will assist the Head Coach in the organization, administration and promotion of all aspects of the Oregon State Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Program. Coaching includes instruction, academic supervision of the athletes, program management for the specific area assigned and preparation of recommendations to the Head Coach and Athletic Director. This position adheres to the policies set forth by direct supervisors, Head Coach and Athletic Director, as well as Oregon State University, the PAC-12 Conference and The National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Bachelor’s Degree in field of choice.
Three (3) years of experience as a Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at the Collegiate level.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per OSU Standard 576-056-0000 et seq.

Experience working with Track & Field athletes.
Experience as a Cross County/Track & Field Coach at the Division I Collegiate level.
Knowledge and experience with NCAA rules and regulations.
