Oversee all aspects and operation of the ticket office for UCO Athletics. Manage all logistics, financials, and duties associated with operating a highly successful box office which is both fiscally stable, and proactive in sales and fan experience initiatives. Ensure university assets are protected through adherence to applicable external and internal regulations and appropriate external representation of UCO Athletics. Provide exemplary customer service to our fans as well as other departments within the campus community. Work within our operational structure and athletics mission in order to increase revenue through ticket sales using industry best practices.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions
Manages sales/customer service staff, effectively trains on methods of cold calling and up-selling, and coaches staff on methods of providing excellent customer service for donors and patrons.
Oversee internal controls and procedures for the Ticket Office including auditing procedures and reports, allocation and distribution of tickets, ensuring segregation of duties, safeguarding of funds, posting of batches, ticket system access, voiding tickets and transfers.
Ensure completion of all duties and responsibilities involved in the management of direct reports.
Determines staffing and game coverage logistics to maximize efficiency.
Supervise all hosted NCAA or MIAA conference post season ticketed events for all sports.
Develops customer service strategies and guidelines for staff to adhere to with the end goal of increasing revenue.
This position may handle and resolve more complex customer service complaints regarding ticket sales, parking, event details, priority seating and other issues.
This position will be the primary contact and trainer for the Vendini ticketing software and equipment for UCO Athletics.
Build and maintain event manifests while developing additional ways to promote the most efficient and effective ways to sell, operate and service.
Directs the sale of season, individual game and group tickets for football, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, soccer, baseball, softball and volleyball to the general public.
Prepare and order custom ticket stock and oversee printing.
Researches and evaluates peer institutions to determine most effective methods of sales strategies and industry’s best practices.
Develops timelines, plans and strategies for annual ticket sales efforts, including mailings, online, telemarketing and grass-root initiatives.
Coordinates with the Asst. AD for Corporate Sponsorship and Marketing, the design and production of print advertising, brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials to promote ticket sales.
Updates ticket accounts and coordinates ticket information on athletics website.
Responsible for running daily and post event sales reports.
Assists in facility setup and tear down on game days.
This position may require some evening and weekend hours as needed based upon the athletic events schedule.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requires a bachelor's degree in related field or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in chosen filed that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.
Minimum 5+ years of successful experience in college athletics ticket office.
Experience managing staff.
Willing to work game days.
Knowledge of online ticket software.
