The Athletic Department at Dean College is currently searching for candidates to fill the position of Head Field Hockey/Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Dean College is currently adding Field Hockey as a new women’s sport to begin play for the 2018 season.
This position will report to the Director of Athletics, as well as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. This position is involved in all aspects of running a competitive field hockey and women’s lacrosse program, including but not limited to: identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development during practices and games, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and other duties as assigned. Additional qualifications include communication skills, ability to motivate, and counsel student-athletes effectively as well as being self-motivated, positive, energetic, and a willingness to travel.
Both positions are part-time appointments requiring a commitment to the Division III philosophy. Additionally, compliance with all NCAA, NECC, and Dean College rules and regulations is required.
Qualified part-time candidates will be required to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred. College playing and coaching experience is preferred.
