The Siena College Athletic Department has an immediate opening for a part-time, nine-month position in the Office of Athletic Communications for the 2017-18 academic year. The term of employment is August 14, 2017 – May 25, 2018. Siena College is located in Loudonville, N.Y. just two miles north of Albany, the state capital. The College is a member of the NCAA and supports 22 Division I athletic programs which compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Duties include producing video content (features, highlights, etc.), coordinating web streaming for live events, creating special event videos, and other video production duties as assigned. The chosen candidate will also serve as the primary athletic communications contact for assigned sports, overseeing gameday operations, maintaining and updating the department website SienaSaints.com, preparing promotional materials, and other traditional communications duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of relevant experience are required.
Extensive knowledge of Final Cut Pro, and a proven video production background is required. Knowledge of, or any experience working with statistical software (StatCrew), Adobe Photoshop, website editing, and previous experience working in collegiate athletics is preferred.
The position is demanding and requires strict adherence to deadlines and a flexible work schedule. Qualified candidates must be willing to work non-traditional hours, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to multi-task, and work independently with a high degree of initiative. A background screening will be required.
