Transylvania University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach. Transylvania, founded in 1780, is the nation’s 16th oldest institution of higher learning and is consistently ranked in national publications as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country. Transylvania is located blocks from downtown Lexington, KY, in central Kentucky. Transylvania is a proud member of NCAA Division III.
Responsibilities include assisting with organizing and directing all aspects of a successful and competitive collegiate program. The recruitment of qualified student-athletes and a demonstrated commitment to their personal, athletic, and academic success are essential. Responsibilities also include assisting with scheduling, player development, budget management, fundraising, rules compliance, and academic monitoring.
This is an entry-level, full-time nine-month appointment with benefits. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with successful collegiate experience, including effective communication/organizational skills. Also, candidates should have an athletics philosophy compatible with a Division III liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards.
