The Development Assistant will help develop and manage all aspects of the annual giving retention program. They will promote and solicit annual giving donations with patrons on a regular basis in person, by phone and in writing, with a large focus on making outbound calls. This employee will work as the primary contact between the Ticket Office and Duck Athletic Fund. They will be responsible for managing and relaying information between the two departments and problem-solving donor related and departmental issues as they occur.
The person in this position will need to be adept at explaining policies and procedures as well as answering questions and complaints from donors. Duties will include developing solicitation plans, running reports and analytics, and creating promotional materials including social media and website updates. The person in this position will need the ability to master the databases used by the department which is currently transitioning to Ticketmaster, Salesforce and Domo.
Minimum Requirements Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Professional Competencies • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in athletics, ticket offices or development • Experience with Ticketmaster, Salesforce and Domo software
