The University of Arizona Athletics Department invites applications for the position of ICA, Ticket Sales Specialist, Extended Temporary Employee. This is an opportunity to build upon and develop practical experience in ticket sales, and hone skills that play a critical role in the methodology of the Sphere of Influence. The successful candidate must be extremely driven, a self-starter, exceptionally organized and still present a self-effacing demeanor. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and CRM and Ticket Sales and the Director, Ticket Operations and Customer Relations. Assist with day-to-day operations of the McKale Ticket Office. Work all home games as needed, performing various ticket sales and service duties. Assist in supervision of student workers. Other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in Marketing or field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years progressively responsible and directly applicable experience in retail sales of highly technical products and/or specialized merchandise including one year supervisory experience; OR, four years progressively responsible retail sales experience, which includes two years progressively responsible and directly applicable experience in retail sales of highly technical products and/or specialized merchandise including one year supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
Ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends.
