Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Compliance Administrator to provide support to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Chief Compliance Officer within The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. The position is responsible to make judgements as to whether actions taken or to be taken represent permissible or non-permissible activities under NCAA or Big Ten Conference rules and compliance policies and procedures. The key duties of this position are the following: •Provides interpretations to a subset of sports and liaison groups to internal and external constituents. •Manages a comprehensive rules education program for internal and external constituents, with a focus on a specific subset of sports and liaison groups. •Supervises all aspects of a subset of sports associated with Bylaw(s) 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 20. •Creates and executes policies and procedures for enhanced institutional control consistent with NCAA and conference governance reform. •Executes and submits specified Big Ten Conference/NCAA reporting/exceptions/waivers/violations. •Provides game day support for various sporting events. •Investigates and reports any NCAA infractions and ensures that decisions are made based on factual information and in accordance with the NCAA rules as well as compliance policies and procedures. •Assist in supervision of day-to-day responsibilities for a Compliance Coordinator, Graduate Assistant(s) and intern(s). •Completes various other task and duties as assigned consistent with a basic understanding of the mission, vision and goal of Athletics Compliance.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus five years of relevant Division I campus experience, Division I Conference Office, or the NCAA experience required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail required. • Excellent working knowledge of NCAA Division I rules required. • Sound working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and LSDBi necessary.
• Master’s or Law degree preferred. • Working knowledge of JumpForward. Prior Division I campus, Division I Conference Office, or the NCAA experience strongly preferred.
• Requires a computer to include all Microsoft software, access to the NCAAApplications, JumpForward and other presentation software.
