Randolph-Macon College invites applications for the 10-month salaried position of Assistant Athletic Trainer with primary sport responsibilities of Women’s Basketball along with a fall and spring sport to be determined. The position requires, but is not limited to, working under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer and assisting in the management and operation of the Athletic Training Room in all areas associated with supporting intercollegiate athletic teams. Athletic Trainer is expected to provide care and coordinate referrals in consultation with the Team Physician. Must communicate daily with the Head Coaches and Head Athletic Trainer. Position requires extended hours, weekend work and travel. Additional duties as assigned including but not limited to insurance claim filing, work study scheduling, and annual inventory analysis. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes full benefit package.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or equivalent; NATA certification; state of Virginia licensure (or eligibility for licensure); CPR and AED certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience as a certified athletic trainer. Experience working with women’s basketball at the college/professional level as well as background in strength and conditioning.
