Centre College invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. Reporting to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, this position is involved in all aspects of running a nationally-competitive men’s soccer program, including but not limited to: identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and other duties as assigned. An additional secondary duty will be assigned by the Director of Athletics.
This position requires compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Centre College rules and regulations. Under supervision of the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, individual will provide assistance in the leadership of all coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties for a Division III men’s soccer program. Individual reports to the Director of Athletics and the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
Essential Job Functions:
•Assist in organizing, preparing and conducting practices, training, and competition; •Recruit student-athletes in accordance with all Centre College, Southern Athletic Association, and NCAA rules and regulations; •Assist in directing all aspects of the program; •Assist with the holistic development of men’s soccer student-athletes; •Represent the program and the College to students, parents, alumni, and the general public; •Assist in managing the daily operations and administration facets of the men’s soccer program; •Actively participate in department-wide fundraising initiatives; •Assist in all duties as assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics; •Will be assigned a secondary job duty by the Director of Athletics.
Ten-month, full-time position with competitive salary includes complete benefits package from the College.

Bachelor’s degree required. Previous collegiate coaching and/or playing experience is required. A commitment to the Division III philosophy; knowledge of NCAA and SAA rules; and a demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes are essential. Additional qualifications include communication skills that allow for the ability to teach, motivate, and counsel student-athletes effectively as well as being self-motivated, positive, energetic, eager to teach, and a willingness to travel.
