Position is responsible for assisting with managing, organizing, and administering all sports information duties for the College’s 19-sport intercollegiate athletics program, including the supervision and mentoring of an NCAA Intern Grant Recipient and student employees. Randolph is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
Responsibilities include: Statistical record keeping; developing and maintaining the athletics website and social media; reporting of results and statistics to the NCAA, ODAC, and media outlets; writing press releases and featured articles for various brochures & game programs, home event management and opportunity for marketing to local businesses. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in journalism, communications, or a related field. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Presto, Statcrew, Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, video editing and social media preferred. Night and weekend hours required.
