REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS: Resume and Cover Letter Description: The University of Oklahoma Women's Tennis program is a national recognized intercollegiate athletics program. The Graduate Assistant for Women's Tennis Operations would be responsible for the following, in addition to other duties:
Plan and organize all aspects of travel for the team and coaching staff.
Assist in planning and organizing itineraries for recruits on unofficial and official visits.
Assist with TeamWorks scheduling software.
Assist in marketing and promotions of women's tennis program (e.g. newsletters, holiday mailings, etc.).
Assist organization of all camps and clinics.
Act as a liaison in areas specified by staff (i.e., event management, equipment, facilities, etc.).
Organize and manage all equipment and issue gear.
Assist with all social media for the program.
Oversee all film for team matches and practice.
Organize special events (e.g. ITF Pro Circuit Tournament, Alumni Weekend).
Assist in managing relationships with benefactors.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Must be current OU Graduate Student and enrolled in the FALL and SPRING semester(s) worked.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays if needed.
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet.
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletic programs, and specifically collegiate tennis.
Applicants must be team oriented, accountable and able to work independently.
Proficient navigating and maintaining databases.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong initiative to solve problems.
Communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the Department, the University, and the community.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with student-athletes, coaches and administrators.
Ability to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
Must be able to communicate and engage in repetitive motions frequently. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Must have ability to lift and carry loads up to 25 pounds. Performing work requires coordination, agility and strength to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and willingness to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and overnight with travel.
Eligible for admittance to The University of Oklahoma Graduate College.
Working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Division I Collegiate Tennis playing experience.
Fluent in Spanish.
