The Assistant Director will lead and manage all fundraising efforts for the College’s McAndrews Fund for Athletics, a subset of the Dickinson Fund. The Assistant Director will: work closely with the Athletic Director; create strategies to maximize giving; work collaboratively with division, inter-division and athletics colleagues to plan and execute cultivation and solicitation of leadership athletic donors; coordinate direct mail, phonathon, and e-solicitation fundraising appeals for the McAndrews fund with the Dickinson Fund staff; manage the McAndrews Golf Outing, the annual Hall of Fame Induction and other athletic events as needed. The Assistant Director will also: manage athletic team fundraising volunteers; manage a portfolio of donors and prospects; and travel as needed.
Coordinate with the Director of the Dickinson Fund, the Director of Parent Relations and the Athletic Director to develop and implement an overall strategy for the McAndrews Fund for Athletics. Develop and implement an annual plan for direct mail, phonathon, and e-solicitation fundraising appeals.
Work with the Athletics staff members to identify, cultivate and solicit potential donors through screenings, personal visits, and events.
In collaboration with the Athletics Director, develop an Athletics Advisory Council.
Manage and staff alumni athletics events including the McAndrews Golf Outing and the Hall of Fame Induction.
Manage a portfolio of leadership McAndrews prospects and donors; 3-5 visits per month.
Work with portfolio managers to coordinate solicitation and volunteer recruitment strategies.
Bachelor’s degree (Liberal Arts degree preferred) with 3-5 years relevant work experience. A valid PA Drivers License is required.*
*Must be in possession of a valid operator’s license for not less than three (3) years and the license must be in good standing without interruption during that time period.
