Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine - Athletic Training
4 Year Degree
Responsible for assisting in the administration of a sound sports medicine program. Practice athletic training competently including but not limited to injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care of and rehabilitation/reconditioning of student athletes suffering from illness or injury. Keep accurate records of all treatments of athletic injuries; maintain an organized and functional athletic training room.
Desired Qualifications for 2 Positions: A minimum of 2 year's professional experience. Post graduate Athletic Training experience at the NCAA/NAIA level - highly preferred. Master's Degree in related field. Knowledge of EMR software.
Desired Qualifications for 1 Position: A minumum of 2 year's proefessional experience. Collegiate basketball experience highly preferred. Master's Degree in related field. Knowlege of EMR software.
Bachelor's degree required. Current National Athletic Trainer's Board of Certification (NATABOC) and CPR/AED certifications and eligibility for Michigan state licensure required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Valid Michigan vehicle operator's license and a driving record acceptable for coverage by the university's insurance carrier.
