Oglethorpe University is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable professional to serve as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of growing a competitive lacrosse program which competes in the Southern Athletic Association. The Head Coach’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: knowing and abiding by all University, NCAA and Southern Athletic Association rules and regulations; coaching; recruiting; managing; monitoring scholar-athlete academic progress; budgeting; fundraising; and scheduling. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have a successful coaching record in a competitive lacrosse program. The successful candidate must also provide positive leadership in all aspects of the lacrosse program and must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with all internal and external patrons. Other job duties and responsibilities are to be determined by the Director of Athletics.
A Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of three years coaching experience at the collegiate level is expected. A valid driver's license is also required. This is a full-time position.
