Centre College invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Field Hockey / Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Reporting to the Head Field Hockey Coach, as well as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, this position is involved in all aspects of running highly-competitive field hockey and women’s lacrosse programs, including but not limited to: identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development during practices and games, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and other duties as assigned. This position requires compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Centre College rules and regulations. Ten-month, full-time position with competitive salary includes complete benefits package from the College. Bachelor’s degree and previous collegiate playing experience required. Previous collegiate coaching preferred. A commitment to the Division III philosophy; knowledge of NCAA and SAA rules; and a demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes are essential. Additional qualifications include communication skills that allow for the ability to teach, motivate, and counsel student-athletes effectively as well as being self-motivated, positive, energetic, eager to teach, and a willingness to travel.
