Position Summary:The successful candidate will develop, in conjunction with the head coach, planning of practice sessions; assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of student athletes into the program; develop scouting reports; monitor the academic progress of student-athletes; oversee and direct basketball camps and clinics; other duties as assigned by the head coach; show commitment to and responsibility for adherence to all rules and regulations of Valley City State University, the North Star Athletic Association, and the NAIA. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of collegiate coaching and/or playing experience, and knowledge of the NAIA rules and regulations are required. Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic, and training experience necessary to compete at the NAIA level. Successful candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, social media platforms, and have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree, experience evaluating and recruiting prospective student athletes, knowledge specific to positional skill-development, and experience with Synergy is preferred
