The Assistant Coaches for Men’s & Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country are responsible for providing direct and independent coaching of student-athletes who compete in Division I, NCAA Men’s & Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country for the University of Florida. The Assistant Coach is responsible for promoting academic excellence as well as the assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes which includes creating individualized development plans for each student-athlete and contributing to overall game and meet plans. Other responsibilities include media relations, inventory and purchasing, facilitating team meetings, budget line-item management and other administrative duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required. Coaching experience at the college level and a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is preferred. Solid administrative and interpersonal skills as well as strong organizational and advanced computer skills are essential. The ability to work a non-standard work week which will include nights, weekends and holidays is mandatory.
